Q. Can I get my South Carolina Real Estate License Online?

Q. How do I get my South Carolina Real Estate License?

State law requires that you complete an approved total of 90 hours. The first Unit I(First Year Sales) class is a total of 60 hours and Unit II(Final Sales) is a total of 30 hours. The Unit I class will prepare you for the South Carolina real estate exam. After completing the first year sales course, you would send your application to the LLR - Real Estate Commission, then make an appointment to take the state exam. The 30 hour Final Sales class can be taken before or after the exam but must be completed in order to obtain your license.

Q. Do I have to be sponsored by a real estate broker to get my real estate license?

NO, It is not necessary to have a broker/company sponsor you in order to take classes or the exam. However, it is mandatory to be affiliated with a broker/real estate company. In order to complete your licensing process you must fill out a form with the South Carolina Real Estate Commission to create this relationship before getting your provisional license.

Q. How much does the South Carolina Real Estate exam cost?

The state exam cost $63.00 and can be scheduled anytime. It is administered Monday - Saturday exluding holidays.

Q. Where are you located?

It is conveniently located in the Congaree Building within Synergy Business Park. It is only 1.5 miles from the school located at the intersection of I-20 and Bush River Road.

Q. I already have a license in another state. What do I need to do to obtain my South Carolina Real Estate license?

If you have your license in any other state you will need to show proof of your license with LLR - Real Estate Commission. Most states should only be required to pass the state portion of the SC exam. You may be asked to take some additional classes if your previous state does not meet our 90 hour requirement.

Q. How do I login into my online self paced course after I have enrolled?

You will receive a welcome email that will provide you with your userid and password along with a login link to our learning management system. You should change your password using the reset password link to ensure your account is properly secured. You can also easily access the learning management system using the login link at the top of our website or bookmark https://learn.realestateschoolforsuccess.com for easy access.

Q. Do you provide study guides?

We have several quizzes throughout the course and in the book. We want you to be prepared as much as possible. If you feel you would like additional study material we offer packages that you can purchase from our Study Materials page.

Q. What happens if I don't pass the exam?

We want you to be successful therefore we allow for you take the exam a total of three times. After the third attempt we require you to take the class again at ½ price to ensure that you fully understand the material.

Q. Do you offer a refresher course?

We want you to be fully prepared to pass the exam and becoming successful in real estate. We will allow you to sit in any class that has room available for up to six months of your original class and before the third attempt of your exam.

Q. Does Unit II have to be taken before or after I take the state exam?

It’s up to you however we recommend that you take Unit II before the state exam. Typically, there is a waiting period in while you are getting approved by the commission and scheduling your exam. During that time you can take the Unit II course to stay refreshed on the material as well as get it out the way so that you may obtain your license once you pass your exam with the testing center.

Q. What happens if I have to miss a class?

We understand that things can sometimes come up unexpectantly. We allow you to make up the time in the next available class that is covering the section that you missed. You have a total of six months to complete and pass the course.
